He raised many sheep, and these sheep were special because each one had a name. One sheep was called Moople, another was called Cloud, and there were many more. However, George’s favourite sheep were Lily and Sebastian.

Every day, George had four chores to do. His first chore was shearing the sheep’s wool. His second chore was feeding them. His third chore was giving blue medicine to the sheep because some of them had an illness called orf. His fourth chore was reading a murder mystery story to the sheep.

These sheep were no ordinary sheep. They listened carefully to every story George read. They loved solving mysteries, and every night they would try to guess who the killer was before reaching the end of the book.

One day, something terrible happened. George was found dead near the sheep pen. On his hand was a strange green stain. The sheep were heartbroken. George had always cared for them, and now he was gone.

Because they had listened to so many detective stories, the sheep decided to solve the mystery themselves.

Every day, Lily, Sebastian, and a few other sheep walked to the nearby town and secretly left clues at the police station. The police were confused but followed the clues anyway.

There were several suspects. The first was a woman who was in love with George. The second was Caleb, the local butcher. The third suspect was Elliot Matthews, a journalist. The fourth suspect was Rachel, George’s daughter.

At first, everyone believed Rachel was guilty because the police found several suspicious items in her house. She was arrested and sent to jail.

However, while Rachel was in her cell, three sheep managed to leave another important clue. The clue pointed to Elliot Matthews.

The sheep remembered that George’s medicine was blue. Elliot had bright yellow hair. When blue and yellow mix, they make green. The night before George died, he had been poisoned, and the green stain on his hand was the final clue he left behind to identify the killer.

The police investigated Elliot and discovered that he had been hiding important evidence. Soon, he was arrested and confessed to the crime.

Rachel was released, and the mystery was finally solved.

I think this story is funny because the sheep are the ones solving the mystery instead of the humans. They use what they learned from George’s stories to catch the real killer.

George was a shepherd who lived on a small farm.
