Last Saturday, I went to an ice skating rink for the first time. I thought it would be easy, but it turned out to be quite challenging. Imagine walking with sharp blades attached to your shoes—it’s really not as simple as it looks!

When I arrived at the ice skating place, I was surprised by how big the rink was. It was huge! The staff gave us special ice skating shoes, and after putting them on, we were allowed to go onto the ice.

At first, I thought I’d be able to skate easily, especially since so many people around me looked like pros. But as soon as I stepped onto the ice, I tripped and started feeling nervous. I held onto the railing for support and slowly began to move, bit by bit.

After about 10 minutes, a friendly stranger named Zercon offered to teach me how to skate. He spent the next two hours helping me. He first showed me how to hold the rail with one hand and stretch the other hand out for balance. Then, little by little, I let go of the rail and started skating on my own.

I wasn’t very fast, but I kept improving. Step by step, I got better and more confident. By the last hour, I was able to skate around the entire rink five times!

It was a fun and memorable experience. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m proud of how far I came in just one day.
