Long ago, there was a world called Flatland. In Flatland, everything had only length and width. There was no height at all.

The story is told by a Square who lived in Flatland. In his world, people were different geometric shapes. Their shapes decided their place in society. Women were straight lines. Triangles were workers and soldiers. Shapes with many sides had a higher status, and the most important people looked almost like circles.

One day, the Square began thinking about other worlds. In a dream, he visited Lineland, a strange place where people could only move forward and backward along a single line. They could not imagine a world with width.

Later, something even more amazing happened. A Sphere from another world appeared before him. The Sphere came from a three-dimensional world where height existed.

At first, the Square could not understand. How could there be another direction besides length and width? The Sphere tried to explain, but the Square was confused.

Then the Sphere lifted the Square above Flatland. For the first time, the Square looked down on his world from above. He could see all of Flatland at once. Suddenly, he understood. There really was a Third Dimension.

The Square was excited by this incredible discovery. He returned home and tried to tell everyone about the new dimension. However, most people refused to believe him. The rulers thought his ideas were dangerous and could upset society.

Because of this, the Square was sent to prison. Even there, he never stopped believing in higher dimensions and greater possibilities.

His story teaches us an important lesson: people often reject new ideas at first, but that does not mean those ideas are wrong.
